This is the requisite about/bio page, and I don’t want to get too wordy here. I am a self-taught artist based in the Great Lakes region of the United States. This site’s purpose is to show my illustration work and expand my creative journey. My main influences are ink brush paintings, ukiyo-e, pen and watercolor, comic books, rock album & poster art, fantasy art, surrealism, tribal art, nature and mythology. I am inspired by any art that flows with symbolism, tells a story, revels in the absurd, celebrates oddities and imperfections, and explores fantastical worlds. I love the creative process of imagining something that never existed before, and then giving it life on paper or canvas.
